We're consolidating the Kanzi user experience into a single destination: Kanzi Portal (portal.kanzi.com). Going forward, Kanzi Hub is being retired in favor of Portal, which brings together everything you need to design, learn, and manage Kanzi in one place.
From the start, the vision for Kanzi was a single home for the full experience — and Portal was built to be that home, with Kanzi Hub eventually stepping back. That transition starts now.
Portal condenses many tools and features into one place — Hub was always just one piece of that picture, and Portal now covers what it did and more. A few concrete examples of what this makes possible:
Hub isn't disappearing overnight, and it isn't going away — but its role is changing. Where Hub used to be a required part of the Kanzi experience, it's becoming an optional enhancement. The next Hub update refocuses it purely on one job: finding and listing the Kanzi projects on your PC. Everything web-connected moves to Portal instead.
What's new in Hub:
What moves to Portal: downloads, documentation, licensing, team management, sample content, and news — anything web-connected. Portal will have full feature parity with today's Hub, and more.
Why: consolidating web-connected functionality in one place (Portal) reduces the cybersecurity surface area of the tools on your machine, and avoids maintaining the same functionality twice in two products.
This update ships alongside — or slightly ahead of — the Portal transition described above.
For users who want an extra layer of convenience, Portal also offers an optional feature called Kanzi Bridge, which can handle plugin/template installs and local project discovery on your behalf. It's entirely optional — Hub and Portal work fully without it.
